It’s Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas

As many of you know, the much loved St Pauls Christmas fair is almost here. The festive season has arrived and everybody is busy preparing for the tombola, decorations, café and much more. The Christmas fair is the most important event of the school year as it always raises the most money for our partnership school in Malawi. Our team is currently sitting with  FOSPA who are hectic in preparation for the big day.

 

We have interviewed the loyal chair of FOSPA so you can take a step into her shoes.

“As the chair of FOSPA, I feel slightly nervous about the fair because we are still a bit behind schedule and there is still a lot to get done in a fairly small amount of time. However, we have a great team who have come together to organise a brilliant variety of prizes. We have had a huge amount of support this year and people are already getting excited about all the snazzy gifts that will be sold tomorrow. All the the old favourite stalls will be put on as well as new ones like a Christmas photo booth and other fun things.  Santa’s Grotto have brilliant presents this year and we hope that many members of the public will come to enjoy our traditional fun at the St Pauls Christmas Fair and hope it is a big success.”

 

What Katina does:

Katina marinades between 300 to 400 pieces of chicken. On Saturday morning she cooks it and serves it to the people in the chritsmas fair. She gets all the Y6 people if they have jobs for the chritmas fair, she does elf costumes and helps on the stall she gives you elf costumes and many more things. She makes wonderful outfits.

A few days before christmas fair the school hall gets packed full of donation for the christmas fair shops. By the way they make some outside in the playgrouned. They have food shops out side and in side if its home made they make the food on the day.They would put stuff in the boxes to put in the Christmas fair. And the table they will bring by hand. That’s how they do this for the Christmas fair. It is quite hard.

Christmas Fair Preparation

We asked the parents firstly what they do about the Christmas fair. The parents said it is quite stressful, because it is hard work for them. They all really enjoy this. Some adults really like doing it because they like folding raffle tickets because it makes them calm. It is quite hard because there are so many things that many people donated. In the kids tombola they sell loads of stationary loads of toys let’s say many things the children like.

For the adults tombola they sell wine, food and coffee, let’s say some kids don’t really like it they find it boring.

For the adult tombola green ticket and children’s is pink tickets. Adults vs. Children’s tombola which one is better please vote.

If you get a ticket that ends in 0 or 5 you get a prize but if you get one that end in 1 2 3 4 6 7 8 9 you don’t get any.

Football League

Last week on Tuesday, our St. Pauls football team went to play in the Camden League. The team thoroughly enjoyed it, whipping up a total of 6 points.

Christmas Fair

So whenever you enter in the Christmas fair you will be seeing stalls. There are Elf’s on the way to Santa’s grotto. Every Christmas fair we make something to see and you get to buy your own.

 Some kids help with the stalls some people even help with hot chocolate stall. We do a lot of actives and some of them you can win prizes. There are stalls outside but if you are cold there are stuff to play with. Indoors there are loads of things to play around there try out knew things, and buy toys. If you are lucky maybe you can win a big prize by too. There is a group which is called choir, there are 30 people they sing about Christmas and they do it for everyone. There are more things you can play with like guess the rabbit s name to get the rabbit. There is how many sweets in the jar and guess where is the treasure on the map. There is an adult tombola and children tombola. There is this really big Christmas tree.

Christmas Nativity

 It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and what better way to celebrate than our St Paul’s school nativity this year. If you have been to our nativity before you will probably remember the roles of the key stage one. Our new group of receptions will play the roles of the angels, while a few children from year one will put on a tablo of the arrival of baby Jesus. And the rest of year one will be sheep and shepherd’s. Year two will be carrying the christingles across the stage to one of our traditional nativity songs, following your star. the rest of the school will be performing a new and exciting play to be revealed on the big day. So if you are feeling festive and in the Christmas mood on Wednesday 7^th  December come to our unique St Paul’s Nativity.
